November at the Junction is a beautiful time of year. There is a crisp breeze, punctuated with the familiar aroma of the first burning logs of the season. The leaves have performed their annual display of color and now crunch underfoot. Time to head indoors! I was so excited to plan this years tablescape for Thanksgiving - I was up at 4 AM!! This is one of my favorite holidays. It combines all of my passions - decorating, cooking, baking and of course, family. Weeks before I'm in the planning phase. Days before, I'm decorating the house, setting the table and baking! The night before is when the fun begins as all of my "little chicks" come home to roost. Heaven!
However, because this is the first tablescape for my blog, I was super excited and I have to admit, a little nervous! Undaunted, I forged ahead doing what I have been doing for years - creating a space I hope is all at once elegant, warm, and inviting.
It is a beautiful sunny day, perfect for admiring the polish of the wood and the gleam of the china. So here goes!
Welcome!

When you think of Thanksgiving I know roosters don't come to mind.
However I love them, and the colors in this one work so well with my fall color scheme. |
My son liked how proud the rooster appears presiding over the
table in this picture, so I had to include it!
|
Perfect little tea set from Wegmans grocery store. |
|
Ahhhh the details. |
|
A quiet corner in the diningroom to take in the view. |
|
This is the full setting.
|
First taking away the little pumpkin soup tureen, you can see the little bread plate.
|
The dinner plate is Myott Factory "Thanksgiving".
The host seatings boast this beautiful ceramic charger. Sadly I was only able to find four of them, so the guest seatings have a solid brown charger as the background.
I found these several years ago at Target! Love them.
Mmmmm soup...and in such a sweet little Tureen!
Details of the tureen top. Just precious.
I think if you look closely you can see the little pumpkin place card holder.
A view of the opposite side of the dining room.
Closeup of the sideboard arrangement.
View into the foyer. Thanks for dropping by! |
Just beautiful! You have a lovely home!

ReplyDeleteSo lovely. I'm glad you are sharing your talents. The Target flatware is quite a find!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! Your table is really stunning, and I loved the placesetting -- just perfect!
ReplyDeleteWhat an absolutely perfect table setting you have created just in time for the holidays. I just love all of the different textures. Have a very Happy Thanksgiving.
ReplyDeleteVery lush! I love lush!!! Sorry you were only able to find 4 of those chargers. That's the downfall of TJ Maxx and Marshall's/Home Goods. I love to shop there, but there are so many items that don't come in the numbers needed!!! :-( I like the rooster in the midst of everything. His colors are perfect, he has majestic feathers, and he seems to be right at home! Have a happy Thanksgiving!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I love the rooster on your table. Darling tureens and placecards holders! Love this!
ReplyDeleteOooh, I love ALL your dishes! Your tureen is great, too. So detailed and beautiful. What a great teapot set from a grocery store ~ I wish ours carried such nice pieces. Really lovely and I liked the peeks into your house, too! : )
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful table. It's so warm and welcoming and full of detail. I love detail! I had a good friend that used to live in PA. I would love going to Wegmens's. You made me remember prior treasures I had purchased there.

I don't know what I like best. The sideboard decoration? The quiet corner in the dining room? Must be the view into the foyer. No, wait...I think it's all spectacular. Thanks for sharing.
