Spring Breakfast at the Junction

I am still trying to coax Spring into being. Mother Nature unfortunately has other plans! We have had February temperatures here and the buds are slow to respond even to the longer sunny days.
Time to bring the sunshine indoors with a bright sun inspired tablescape.
What great way to start the day!

Welcome to ....

The Spring Breakfast at the Junction

A sunny breakfast is the best way to begin the day.
Yellow here sets the mood.

These bright little salad plates got me in the mood
for something sunny

Surrounded by the halo of the bright metal yellow
chargers, the soft green of the dinner plate
and the patterned trim of the second dinner
plate, they look like the sun itself

I used the white patterned tea cups instead of yellow
to pick up the white of the other accent colors here

The teapot is a recent purchase from
The Christmas Tree Shop
that matches the salt and pepper shakers.
The set was under $5.00  Love that store!
The lemon pitcher is an old friend.

Even for family, fresh pressed napkins
are a must!

Hope you have a sunny day!

  1. I love the yellow, green and white, it sings of spring...which I am still wondering when it will make it's appearance... Have a great week!

  2. Love this great colors're table is perfect! The yellow plates are so pretty and sunny.
It looks so springie...I hope spring makes a debut already around there!

  3. Thanks lovelies! I can't believe they are predicting more snow showers for Friday! We have to keep our spirits up. Looking forward to seeing your spring tables - I'll be stopping by!

  4. This is so warm and springy, and your colors are just beautiful together. I wish I owned those daisy plates! I hope spring shows up and STAYS around these parts soon. We don't have the snow, but we're going to drizzle and rain our azalea season away if we don't clear up soon.

  5. Well that table should coax Spring along! What a wonderful breakfast table, so sunny and cheerful!
I think we better do another for the weekend to scare away the sn#$! :)

  6. What a cute table... those little daisy dishes are adorable! I hope you get some nice spring weather soon to go with that pretty table, but you have captured the essence of spring with this.

I invited a bunch of ducks to my table tonight. They turned out to be the life of the party. ;-)

  7. Love those daisy dishes! They would make anyone smile just at the sight of them. Your table is wonderfully inviting. I love the pitcher, the teapot, the salt and peppers, oh just all of it. Truly wonderful. Thanks for dropping in with your sweet comments.

  8. What a great table - so bright and cheerful. Certain to bring on Spring. I saw those plates at Christmas Tree and passed them up. Now I'm wishing I didn't!

Looking forward to having you with us this Sunday.

  9. What a happy table! It would be impossible to dine here and not leave with a sunny smile on one's face.

Feel free to invite me any time!

  10. Oh, I just love this table! The lemon pitcher and the flower plates work perfectly together! I must confess that I don't iron napkins for daily use, but mine have been laundered so much that they aren't THAT wrinkled. Back to your table, though -- it really is a lovely breath of spring!

  11. A very sunny setting! I love the daisy dishes and sweet tea pot. Your napkins really help to pull all the warm colors together. Very nice!

  12. Yellow and green seem to be popping up on tables all across blogland. Your majolica pieces are wonderful. You've created a warm inviting tablescape with just a hint of whimsy. Thank you for sharing your charming design. Cherry Kay
